Ingredients For Raita

Step By Step Instructions

For Onion Tomato Raita

For Bondi Raita

First, prepare the bondi by soaking 1 cup of bondi in warm water for 10 minutes.


In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of thin yogurt and drained bondi.

Season the yogurt with a pinch of black salt, and red chili powder. Then add 1/4 tsp of roasted cumin powder to the yogurt mixture.

Once you are done, mix all the ingredients well.

Then place the prepared raita in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.

To prepare the tarka, heat 1-2 tsp of oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add a pinch of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and a few curry leaves to the hot oil.

Wait until the seeds start to crackle and the curry leaves turn crispy.

Then pour the prepared tarka over the chilled Bondi Raita.

Sprinkle some fresh coriander and mint leaves and red chili powder over it.

  • Pinch Black pepper powder

  • Pinch Chaat masala

  • Fresh coriander and mint leaves, chopped

  • 1 1 Cucumber, grated

  • 1 cup 1 Thick yogurt

  • 1 small handful 1 Fresh coriander and mint leaves, chopped.

  • Ingredients for bondi raita
  • 1 cup 1 Bondi, (soak it in warm water for 10 minutes)

  • 1 Pinch 1 Black salt

  • 1 Pinch 1 Red chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 Roasted cumin powder
